Fax Machine

A fax machine (short for facsimile) is a machine that connects to a phone line. It can send information such as pictures and text to another fax machine over the telephone line. Many fax machines now come integrated with a small copier attached to them in order to be able to photocopy documents. Fax machines used to use special fax paper which was made in long rolls and it would be chopped up by the fax machine depending on how long each fax was. Nowadays, fax machines tend to use standard A4 paper (like the paper you would put into a printer).
