Double Glazing

Double Glazing refers to a type of window where there are two panes of glass instead of one. Between the panes of glass, there will be either an inert gas or a slight vacuum. Double glazing is used to reduce noise entering the building from the outside, and can also help energy bills by reducing heat loss and heat gain. The air between the glass should be totally airtight to ensure that no condensation can get in. You should see virtually no difference when looking through a window between one sheet of glass and double glazing.
