Filed Under: Health & Beauty, Lifestyle
Cosmetic surgery is normally an elective form of surgery which is undertaken to reshape or enhance various bodily features to improve or maintain outward appearances.
Cosmetic surgery is sometimes known as plastic surgery, however plastic surgery is really surgery which is performed to repair or reconstruct defects or problems such as birth marks, trauma or tumours etc and is not normally a term used for elective surgery where the patient just wants to improve their appearance when there are no underlying problems.
