Karaoke Machines

Karaoke machines are a form of entertainment machine where singers - both amateur and professional - can sing along to well known songs by singing into a microphone.

Most karaoke machines will have some sort of video feed which will show a video clip along with the words to the song. The karaoke machine will play the tune and the words will follow the tune so that the singer knows where they are.

Karaoke started in Japan before spreading to the rest of the world. It is believed that karaoke started sometime in the mid 1980s.

There are a range of karaoke machines on the market - from professional karaoke machines used at parties and in bars etc, through to amateur karaoke machines which can be used in the home, or attached to current electronic devices such as a video console.
