Fire Extinguisher

A fire extinguisher is a device which is used for putting out fires. They are usually a cylinder shaped metallic object which is filled with either water, foam or chemicals under pressure which can be discharged via a nozzle at the top of the cylinder. Different types of fire extinguisher are meant for different types of fire - for example you should never put out an electrical fire with a water fire extinguisher as you may get electrocuted. Because of this, most fire extinguishers will have pictures or text on them which remind you what sort of fire the extinguisher should and should not be used on.
