Computer speakers are sometimes known as multimedia speakers. They plug into the soundcard on the back of a computer using a jack-end or USB port and also into a standard power socket. This then enables them to be used on the PC for game-playing, listening to music, audio-typing and editting sound files. Most speakers will also have a slot for putting headphones in so that you do not disturb other people with your music/audio.
