Queenstown is a small town on the West Coast of Tasmania with a tiny population of around 2,500 people.
Queenstown is also a suburb of Adelaide.
Both Queenstown’s have a small range of hotels which you can stay in - ranging from a basic B&B style hotel through to a more luxurious hotel with a wider range of facilities.
Queenstown in Tasmania is a small town so there is not a huge amount of choice, so it is better to book early to avoid disappointment.

Port Douglas is a town in northern Queensland and is located just north of the city of Cairns. Port Douglas is situated near the Great Barrier Reef, making it a popular destination for tourists to stay. This means that a thriving hotel industry in the area with plenty of different hotels to choose from. Some hotels are basic B&Bs, and some of Port Douglas’ hotels are catered towards more luxurious circumstances.

Perth is the capital of Western Australia with a population of around 1.5 million. It is the largest city in Western Australia and nearly three-quarters of people resident in Western Australia live in Perth.
Perth has plenty of attractions for tourists including:
- The Perth Concert Hall: a concert venue that hosts theatre productions, ballet, opera and orchestral performances.
- A range of theatres: including the Perth Convention Center (built in 2005) and His Majesty’s Burswood Dome.
- Australian Football League: Perth is host to two teams - the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Football Club

Melbourne is the second most populated city in Australia. Located in the south-east of Australia, Melbourne has a population of just over 3.5 million people, and is home to 70% of people who live in the state of Victoria.
Melbourne is one of the major centres of commerce and industry in Australia as well as culture and tourism. Thanks to the commerce, there are always plenty of business people in the city for meetings, and thanks to the culture and tourist attractions, there is always a large population of tourists in the area. Because of the business and tourist connections, there is a large number of hotels in the city, ranging right through from 1 star hotels right through to the top-of-the-range 5 star hotels with spas and saunas for the guests.

Canberra is Australia’s capital city. It houses a population of over 320,000 and is Australia’s largest city. It is siutaion on the western edge of Australia, about 400 miles north-east of Melbourne and 190 miles south-west of Sydney.
As capital city, Canberra has many monuments and institutions in the city. Top tourist attractions include the Australian War Memorial, the National Gallery of Australia and the National Museum of Australia. Because of the wealth of culture and history that Canberra has to offer, it is a tourist magnet. Hence, there are plenty of hotels dotted around this city.

Darwin is the capital city of the Australian Territory of the Northern Territory. It is the least populate of all of Australia’s capital cities - most of the Northern Territory is only sparsely populated. Over the years, Darwin has become the ‘Gateway to Asia’ in Australia. Darwin has many tourist attractions ranging from sunset beach markets through to some amazing museums.
