Reverse Mortgages Explained

A reverse mortgage is sometimes known as a lifetime mortgage. A reverse mortgage is a loan available to older people (normally aged over 60). Reverse mortgages are used to release equity in the property that they own. Sometimes the equity is released in one lump sum; sometimes, the equity is released in multiple payments. The loan repayments are deferred until the house is sold; the owner dies; or the owner leaves the home (eg to go into care).

Plasma TVs

A plasma TV uses plasma display panel (PDP) technology. Plasma TVs have a flat panel display and are normally over 32″ in size. Plasma screens have gas in the screen which is electrically turned into plasma which in turn excites phosphors to emit light.

Plasma TVs are not a new invention - they were in fact invented in 1964. Plasma TV displays are normally very bright and can be produced in very large sizes - up to over a metre across the diagonal. The power consumption of a plasma TV will vary from TV to TV and will depend on what is watched on it. Bright scenes such as a football match will need significantly more power than a dark scene. Plasma TVS also have a wider viewing angle than most other forms of TV screen.

Ovens

An oven is a kitchen appliance which can be used for baking, roasting or drying. Usually, ovens are used in cooking or pottery. Some ovens use gas for heat whereas others will use electricity as their power source. Ovens in pottery are more often known as kilns. If the oven is large and used in a commercial or industrial manner, the over will be known as a furnace.

Office Furniture

Office furniture is furniture which is specially designed to fit into an office. Typical office furniture products are office chairs and computer desks. Office chairs normally swivel and are designed to be ergonmical for the user as most office workers will sit on chairs for long periods of time each day.

Computer desks will often have special compartments to house the computer and/or keyboard.

Some office furniture is designed specially for work environments; other office furniture is designed with the home office in mind.

Mortgages

A mortgage is a special type of loan. A mortgage is where a lender agrees to lend you the money to buy a house on the basis that if you fail to keep up with repayments to the loan, the house will be repossessed and sold and the money will go to the lender.

Mortgages have interest applied to them. Mortgage interest is a charge which is levied onto the money you owe and is calculated on a regular basis. This is the way the lenders make money on your loan.
