Perfume is a mix of fragrant substances which is applied to the body in order to smell nice. Usually, perfumes consist of a combination of essential oils, aroma compounds, fixatives and solvents.
Perfume extract: 20%-40% aromatic compounds
Eau de parfum: 10-30% aromatic compounds
Eau de toilette: 5-20% aromatic compounds
Eau de cologne: 2-5% aromatic compounds
As the percentage of aromatic compounds decresases, so does the intensity and longevity of the scent. So, perfumes are the best thing to buy if you want your scent to last a long time. However, different perfume houses use different amounts of aromatic compounds in their perfumes, so it can be hard to predict how long a scent will last.

Obesity has been around for a long time. Obesity is a medical condition where the person has a large store of fatty tissue in them to the point where their weight is probably causing other health issues such as heart problems, diabetes, sleep apnea and osteoarthritis.
One of the primary ways that weight is measured is using the BMI (Body Mass Index). This is not a fool-proof method of classifying people’s weights, however it does serve as a general rule. BMI is calculated by diving the person’s weight in kilograms by the square of their height in metres. The standard chart is as follows:
A BMI less than 18.5 is underweight
A BMI of 18.5 - 24.9 is normal weight
A BMI of 25.0 - 29.9 is overweight
A BMI of 30.0 - 39.9 is obese
A BMI of 40.0 or higher is severely (or morbidly) obese

Weight loss is when someone reduces their total amount of body weight. This can be intentional or unintentional. Weight loss can mean a loss of fluids, muscles, bone mass or fat. Most people would like to lose fat and fluid whist retaining bone mass and muscle.
Unintentional weight loss can be caused by many underlying health issues and it is advisable to seek the advice of healthcare professionals should you experience unintentional weight loss.

Maternity clothing is clothes that are specifically made for expectant mums. Maternity clothes take the bump into account to ensure that expectant mothers no longer have to wear unfashionable, unsuitable clothing.
Much maternity wear is elasticated to ensure comfort. Maternity clothes are often also made with different bump sizes in mind as the bump obviously changes size over time, and some mothers have larger bumps than others!
There are a large number of manufacturers who make maternity clothing and there is a huge selection of maternity wear available on the market - from trousers, to skirts, to nightwear to tops, and even swim wear!

Liposuction is sometimes also known as lipoplasty, liposculpture or suction lipectomy. Liposuction is a form of cosmetic surgery where fat is removed from parts of the body. Sometimes this fat is transplanted into other areas of the body to improve the overall shape of the silouhette.
Exercise and dieting are the best way to lose weight however there can be stubborn pockets of fat which do not want to shift. These pockets of fat are prime candidates for liposuction as they remove the fat cells. However, liposuction should not be used as a weight-loss method.

LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis. LASIK is a form of refractive laser eye surgery and is a way of improving or correcting poor eye-sight.
The LASIK operation involves having anesthetic drops put into the eye, and sometimes giving the patient a mild sedative. A flap is cut into the corneal tissue and then a laser is used to remodel the cornea tissue.
As with all surgery, here are some risks associated with LASIK surgery. Some of these risks are:
- dry eyes
- over- or under-correction
- light sensitivity
- double vision or ‘ghosting’
- induced astigmatism
- starbursts around lights at night
- visual acuity fluctuations

People undergo Laser Eye Surgery to reduce their dependency on glasses or contact lenses by improving their eyesight.
Laser eye surgery is usually done as an out-patient procedure and takes about one hour to complete. Dependent on the particular type of laser eye surgery that the patient is having, both eyes may be done in one session, or sometimes, the eyes must be done over two sessions a couple of days apart.
Laser eye surgery normally involves having local anaesthetic drops placed in the eye and then the surgeon cutting a flap in the cornea of the eye. The flap is then peeled back and a laser is shone into the eye which vaporises portions of the cornea.
