An MP3 player is a small electronic device which, as the name suggests, plays MP3s. MP3s are usually music tracks which can either be downloaded or ‘ripped’ from your existing CDs using special software. You can attach your MP3 player to your computer and upload these tracks and then play them.
Some MP3 players also have radio stations in them so you can listen to the radio as well.

‘Hamper’ is a British term and is normally used to describe a wicker basket that is used to move or store items such as food. In the US, a hamper normally describes a basket which is used to house dirty clothing which needs to be put through the washing machine.
The word hamper also has an agricultural meaning - it is a container with a wide mouth which is carried on the back of workers who are harvesting crops such as fruits.

Sometimes, it can be very hard to buy gifts for men. A gift hamper may be a good idea because you can theme it around their interests and fill it full of things you know they’ll love - such as tickets to a football match, radio controlled cars, chocolates and sweets etc.
Otherwise, here are a list of presents to give you some ideas!
- An experience day, such as flying or driving.
- Gadgets such as an mp3 player, digital radio or games console
- Boys toys such as fighting tanks, water pistols or shocking games
- Accessories for the car such as body kit, a tuning part or an accessory such as a gear stick knob.

Hampers are a great gift to give no matter what the occasion - from christmas, to birthdays, to christenings. They can contain a variety of different products inside. The most popular type of gift hamper is the food hamper, which can be filled with savoury things such as crackers, cheese and wine; sweet things such as sweets and puddings, or even a hamper completely filled with chocolates!
Other popular types are fruit baskets, which tend to be for the health conscious; flower baskets, filled with fresh flowers; book hampers filled with everything a bookworm would love from books to book tokens and bookmarks and book lights;

Christenings are the perfect time to buy a small keepsake for the child in question. Popular ideas include jewellery, cufflinks, spoons or charms. However, it may be a nice idea to go for a present which is a little more personalised - something which is a little bit different and shows a little bit of thought will be much better received than a christening gift which was very expensive but entirely useless!

A fruit basket is often given as a gift alternative to flowers. A basket is filled with all sorts of fruits. The giver can decide what types of fruit they would like in the basket - exotic, in-season, or ordinary. The gift basket can either be collected by the giver, or can be sent direct from the people who made the basket up. Often, another small gift such as a box of chocolates, a teddy bear or a bottle of champagne will also be included with the fruit baskets. Fruit baskets can be sent on any occasion - passing exams, birthday, get well soon etc.
