Caravans - all you need to know!

A caravan is a British term for a recreational vehicle (RV). It is a motorhome which can be used for living in. Most commonly, they are used to go camping in, however some people do live in them all year around. Most basic caravans will have beds, a dining table, a food preparation area and various storage places. Some will also have small bathrooms. The larger ones will have more beds, a bigger dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and an awning. The luxury ones will have TV and internet (via satellite) and all the latest mod cons in them. They will also often be double decker.

A caravan can also refer to a line of objects, usually mules or camels, but sometimes race cars, all travelling in single file. The line of animals or cars will be a part of the same group and will communicate with each other en-route.
